Cowes Week Hospitality Day

Cowes Week is the largest regatta of its kind, featuring boats from ocean racing yachts to family dinghies. A day spent watching the action at Cowes Week from your own private yacht provides the ultimate corporate hospitality day.

NO SAILING EXPERIENCE is required.

Dating back to 1826, Cowes Week is one of the longest running and most successful UK sporting events, and today sits alongside Wimbledon and Henley as a must-attend summer event. With up to 1000 boats taking part and 100,000 spectators, Cowes Week offers an unrivalled atmosphere both on the water and ashore, and a unique corporate hospitality experience.

With Britannia you and your guests will enjoy a carefully created hospitality package, designed to suit your exact requirement. You can choose from enjoying a day on board a premium sailing yacht, a high-speed RIB or a luxurious powerboat – each of which provide a different way to watch the exciting racing action from your private vantage point.

In addition, all hospitality packages includes access to our VIP Hospitality Lounge, in the heart of Cowes Race Village, and you can chose from a lunch ashore or a sumptuous buffet lunch on board.

If you prefer, you can actually take part in the racing! See our Cowes Week racing packages.

Ladies Day - Tuesday 3rd

CELEBRATE WOMEN IN SAILING

Since 2006, the Tuesday of Cowes Week has been our unique take on a Ladies Day as seen at other British Summer Season events. The day celebrates the contribution and achievement of women in sailing and recognizes some of the major successes of women in the sport. This year, the prestigious day will take place on Tuesday 3rd August.

Cowes Week sees many mixed crews, as well as female only crews, and all ladies out racing are encouraged to wear their seafaring navy-and-white stripes. While there are many women out racing, it is less common for ladies to take the helm, so on Ladies Day, ladies are especially encouraged. Why not join in and get your family, friends and colleagues on the water for a fabulous day out. While the ‘official’ Ladies Day is held on the Tuesday, we are happy to arrange additional days throughout the course of the week. Speak to the team to find out more.

Britannia Corporate Events hosts an exclusive ladies day package where both sailors and non sailors can get out on the water to spectate the racing then join us in our waterside VIP area for a delicious two-course luncheon. Come and join us for a day with the girls, meet our lifestyle partners including Ultrasun, Helly Hansen and Salcombe Gin and enjoy a fantastic day out.

Your Day, Your Way

TAILORED FOR YOU

All of our corporate packages are custom built to suit your needs, so whatever your requirements and your budget, we will work with you to ensure you and your team have a fantastic experience.

Whilst the emphasis of the day is FUN, Britannia takes safety very seriously and your day will start with a thorough boat familiarisation from your skipper, so you can feel confident and relaxed during your day. Once settled on board you and your team will be fully involved in the sailing – taking the helm, setting the sails, tacking and gybing. A team building day with Britannia is all about involvement.

For small groups (10 or less) you can spend the day together on a single yacht, learning the ropes and enjoying a day on the water. You can choose to enjoy a packed lunch on board, or stop ashore in the historic sailing town of Cowes, Isle of Wight.

For larger groups (More than 10) your group will split across two or more teams, with each team on an identical yacht. In the afternoon, consider opting for some friendly racing – to pit the teams against each other, and add a competitive element to the day! Whichever option you choose, you can be sure that such a memorable day will be talked about long after the sailing has finished.
